The next step is installing the headlamps with the adjusters.

Then door stops get installed.

Next I assembled the door drive rod.

I am not going to rivet it together, but am using stainless hardware that can be tightened later if needed. One thing I've noticed is the rivets lose their compression and the assembly gets loose and sloppy.

This was an interesting find, one set of the headlamps doors have an additional brace. I decided to use the door with the additional brace.

The door is put back together with the drive rod and pivot bolt lubed with waterproof Teflon grease. The door traverses sooooo smoothly now and rests nicely on the new extra thick stops.

What a difference so far.

The next part turned out to be a pain. There are nylon inserts that hold the screw for the facia plate. The old nylon just broke and fell apart. I looked online and couldn't find anything close. You know what that means, what you can't get, you have to make.
