The last front bit to complete was putting the front license plate on the car which of course will obscure the visual of the headlamp motor and also help with deflecting water around it.

The parts came in to finish this part.

I stripped and powder coated the front license plate bracket and have new rubber bumpers since the old ones more or less crumbled to the touch. Plus all stainless hardware.

Yuppers I do not really need to see the headlamp motor if I don't have too.

For a license plate, since we are a state that does not require a front license plate, you can use a vanity plate. The previous owner had some Ford Motorsport plate and quite frankly it was kind of lame. I wanted something with more flare and patriotic.

That'll work.

It was either this or or a custom license plate that read "Not A Bloody Torino!" as I get quite a few people come up to me asking if it's a Torino or just saying nice Torino and when I say no, it's an XL, then I get, "What the hell is an XL" or "XL what?".

Cheers.
